Weddings & Engagement Announcements:

The announcement should contain the full names of the bride and groom, the names of each set of parents, the city and state in which the wedding will be held (if it will take place in a different location from which the announcement is being published), and the date (or at least the month) when it will occur. You might want to also add information about your education and careers. Remember, personal touches make these announcements special.

Birth Announcements:

The announcement should contain the full names of the mother and father, where they are from and the name of the baby. Some information you also may want to include is the birthday of the baby, his/her height and weight, and the names of the grandparents and where they are from. You also may want to mention any brothers or sisters of the baby, or even a family pet. Remember, personal touches make these announcements special.

Birthdays:

Many people include the name of the birthday guy or gal, their birth date and or age. You may want to include a humorous phrase, warm wishes or a simply stated "Happy Birthday".  Remember, personal touches make these announcements special.

Graduation Announcements:

The announcement should include the name and hometown of the graduate, the name and location of the institution from which they have graduated, the date or at least the month of graduation, the graduate's major and any achievements you would like to mention. Anniversaries:

These announcements should include the names of the couple celebrating their anniversary, the number of years they have been married, and where they are from. It is also nice to include a celebration of renewing of vows, mention of children and or where they were married. Remember, personal touches make these announcements special.

Other Announcements:

Newspaper announcements are a great way to say congratulations or thank you publicly. They are also a great way to send out an invitation to your reunion, celebration, party, fund-raiser or other special event.
