What a blast! That about best describes last Saturday's Comedy Night. A packed house enjoyed cocktails and a fabulous dinner before over two hours of hilarity began. The show featured three headliner comedians, and emcee Ed Young and I added to the zaniness. Chairman Dave Weiner and his entire committee deserve a "Job well done."

The lodge is now on its winter hours. The lounge will open at 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, at 2 p.m. Friday, and at noon Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday, Dec. 3 is the annual Trim-a-Tree Party, a covered dish affair. Check the board to see what others are bringing to avoid too much duplication. Be sure to bring an ornament for the tree. The fun begins 6 p.m. and is open to members and guests only.

The following day, Sunday, Dec. 4, Elk lodges throughout the nation open their doors to all for our memorial service at 11 a.m. It runs about a half hour. We pause to remember our absent brothers. If you have lost a loved one over the past year, feel free to join us. A light repast will follow the tribute.

We will continue the December events next week after I confirm a couple of dates and times.

Don't forget Sunday football, Wednesday Quizzo and Friday food.

Bye, George.
