Here we are with just a week and a smidgeon to go until Christmas and Chanukah. All of the organized holiday events here at the Lodge have come and gone. The Trim-A-Tree party, Memorial Service, Army/Navy Game and the two children's Christmas parties are now just fond memories.

However, Sunday football, Wednesday Quizzo and Friday dinners continue through the weeks. Come on out to enjoy them all with your fellow Lodge members.

It is that time of year when the Christmas fruit cake shows up. I have a theory about it. Each year they bake just one. Some lucky household gets it and then promptly passes it on to the next, and so on and so on. By the time it reaches the end of its pilgrimage it is so rock hard that all the last person getting it can do with it is toss it out into the yard for the birds to peck on. Think about it.

Bye, George.
