To the editor:
My husband and I were recently staying at the Borgata and planned to take the shuttle to the beach on Saturday, Aug. 29. I'm handicapped so I checked with the Borgata to see if I could access the beach with a walker. When we arrived at your beautiful Brigantine Beach the ramp was at a different location and I was very disappointed. The driver offered to drive us to the ramp location when a couple on bikes asked if we needed a beach wheel chair. They offered to call and see if one was available and even had the chair brought over by the beach patrol. This was a life saver and my husband was able to wheel me onto the beach where we were able to enjoy the sun, sand, and ocean. We later found out that the kind gentleman who came to our rescue was your mayor, Phillip Guenther. What a wonderful impression we have of your town of Brigantine and the people who live there, especially your thoughtful mayor. Thank you for caring Mayor Guenther and the Brigantine Beach Patrol. We will visit again for sure.
