Brant Beach Gardens was started in 2006 by John Bacha and has been maintained mostly by him and a few residents, Dolores Ciarrochi and Larry and Janis Murphy. It relies on contributions from the residents and neighbors who enjoy it to defray some of the costs of water, materials, annual plants, spreading mulch and more. The city donates mulch every year.

They try to make it a year-round garden with something for all to enjoy in any season. It has recently been decorated for fall. Bacha's wife, Beth, handles the fall decorations every year, hanging scarecrows, Indian corn, straw, corn stalks, pumpkins, gourds, and more.

Shortly after Thanksgiving, the garden will be decorated for for Christmas. And in the spring it comes to life with daffodils, tulips, other spring bulbs and dozens of exotic irises that Ciarrochi plants and tends to.
