Recent Holy Spirit High School graduate Billy Stroby was one of five Elks National Foundation scholarship winners who were each presented with $3,000 checks to be used toward their college educations. The other four recipients, as voted on by the Brigantine Elks ENF committee, were Jacqueline Cerchio, John Riordan, Natalie Mahon and Shelby Gribbon. The check presentation took place Saturday evening, July 29 at the Brigantine Elks Seafood Festival. Stroby will be attending La Salle Unversity in the fall – the alma mater of his grandfather and former Brigantine Councilman John Murray.
