Brigantine Art Walk was forced to cancel our event this past Saturday evening. Mother Nature just didn’t want to cooperate. Our performer Danny K will be rescheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, Labor Day weekend. We will hold our event starting at 2 p.m. Sept. 2 and going until the evening hours. Three performers are lined up for that day: Reid Alburger from 2 to 3:45 p.m., Danny K from 4 to 5:45 p.m. and The Craig Carey Band starting at 6 p.m.
This coming Saturday, Aug. 19, we will hold our art and music event at Haneman Park in beautiful Brigantine, where on Saturday mornings the Farmer’s Market takes place. But Haneman Park becomes extra special on Saturday evenings when local artists and musicians gather to share their work with the public. If you love art, music and meeting people, this event is for you. Haneman Park is across from the library between 15th and 16th streets and Bayshore Avenue and Revere Boulevard. Instead of doing the same thing on a Saturday evening why not come to the park and enjoy art and music. Bring your family and friends and make an evening of it. Smokey’s World has agreed to come back in the evening with their tasty barbecue food.
This weekend, musician David Craig will be making his debut at the Brigantine Art Walk. BYOB (bring your own blanket) or chair so you can relax while enjoying the music.
Local artists welcome you to stop by their tables to view the art and welcome any questions or comments you may have about their work. All pieces are available for purchase. There will be a variety of art for the art lover to check out. Local artists include watercolor painters, acrylic and oil painters, photographers and fine jewelry artisans.
Each week we have a featured charity, this week it is Sons of Italy in America, Brigantine 2520.
We like to thank Cellar 32 and Casale al Mare for their sponsorship for this week’s event.
The concert kicks off at 5 p.m. If the weather is nice we will be at Haneman Park. In case of rain, we will relocate to the Brigantine Links Golf Course, 1075 N. Shore Drive. Check our website, brigantineartwalk.com or Facebook for updates for alternate location or if the event has been cancelled.
The Brigantine Art Walk is an art focused community showcasing talented local artists and their work.
