Brigantine Public Schools kindergarten registration will be 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. Monday-Friday in the Brigantine Elementary School main office.
Children must turn 4 on or before Oct. 1 to qualify for preschool and 5 on or before Oct. 1 to qualify for kindergarten.
No screenings will take place at this time so it is not necessary to bring children.

The following documents are required for registration:
Child’s original birth certificate - state copy, not hospital copy, child’s immunization records and proof of residency.
All children enrolling in September must have four DPT and three Polio immunizations. The last one must have been administered on or after the child’s fourth birthday. Additional immunizations include one dose or written documentation of chicken pox disease and at least one MMR, a second dose of measles vaccine, and a complete Hepatitis B series before they can be admitted to school.
Acceptable proofs of residency for homeowners include a deed or most recent tax bill from the city.
Acceptable proofs of residency for renters can include a lease or a signed letter from a landlord listing all occupants, or other evidence of residency and any two of the following: pay stub showing name and address; utility bills - gas, electric or home phone only; voter registration card and financial account information. All must contain name and home address.
Proofs of residency requirements for residents sharing quarters are an owner’s deed or most recent tax bill from the city; a notarized letter from the owner listing all occupants; proof of address for the parent - paycheck stub or utility bill. All three documents are needed for a shared quarters.
Parents who suspect that their Preschool age child may have special needs can get free help from their local school District’s Child Study Team. Brigantine Public School District is organizing a Child Find Campaign to locate and provide services for those children ages 3 to 5 who may have physical, mental, language or emotional difficulties.
