The Bacharach Hearing & Balance Center will hold an educational seminar for people with Tinnitus on the third Wednesday of each month at 4 p.m. in the Galloway Hearing Center, 436 Chris Gaupp Drive, Suite 103.
Tinnitus is a condition that affects more than 50 million Americans of all ages each year. It is commonly described as a ringing or buzzing sound, and it can affect concentration and interfere with sleep.
Treatment for tinnitus is determined by a comprehensive hearing evaluation. Dr. Lauren Reale, an Audiologist at the Bacharach Hearing Center, is an expert on treating tinnitus. “We check the ear canal for blockages, look for signs of hearing loss, and test to see if there is damage to the inner ear hair cells. Depending on what we find, we treat the cause to gain control of the tinnitus.”
The educational seminar will address the nature of tinnitus, the underlying causes, and what steps to take for evaluation and treatment. It is free and open to the public.
The next seminar will be held Wednesday, August 17. For more information call 609-748-5370.
