MIDDLE TOWNSHIP — Bishop McHugh Regional Catholic School celebrated Catholic Schools Week Jan. 28 through Feb. 3. This year's theme was "Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed," school officials said.

Students kicked off the week Sunday by attended Mass at their parishes, where they heard from guest speakers.

On Monday, classes were visited by members of the military including the Army and the Marines. On Tuesday there was a family breakfast before school and a curriculum showcase throughout the day.

Wednesday was Student Appreciation Day, featuring an indoor field day, a winter chill party and visits from a therapy dog.

Thursday, Grandparents Day, featured a reading rumpus where students and their grandparents circulated from room to room to hear stories.

The week concluded Friday with a prayer service and a show of appreciation for teachers. Local businesses and PATH, the parent, teacher and administrators group, provided lunch for the teachers.
