LOWER TOWNSHIP — A woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after police said her car ran off the road and hit a utility pole Saturday evening, Nov. 11 at the 1100 block of Seashore Road, leaving area residents temporarily without power.
Elizabeth Corey was also charged with failure to maintain a lane, reckless driving, use of a cellphone in a moving vehicle and refusal to submit to a breath test, Lower Township police said.
LOWER TOWNSHIP — Officials are investigating a brush fire that spread to a trailer Friday in the township’s Erma section.
She was released pending a court date, police said.
The crash is under investigation by Ptl. Jennifer Anzelone.
Agencies assisting at the scene included the Cape May Police Department, West Cape May Fire Department and the Lower Township Rescue Squad.
