MIDDLE TOWNSHIP — County residents are invited to “come home for Christmas” noon-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 at the Museum of Cape May County, 504 Route 9, Cape May Court House.

Museum officials said the museum's rooms will be decorated for the holiday by local florists such as Garden Greenhouse, Pine Lake Nursery and Blooms.

The free open house will feature a new exhibit, the Farmor Cottage, which be opened officially by Santa Claus at 1 p.m.

Housed in an authentic 19th century block building, the Farmor Cottage will be dedicated to children everywhere, museum officials said. There will be artifacts inside the cottage that are hands-on to give children a chance to learn about life on an 18th and 19th century plantation.
