MIDDLE TOWNSHIP — There are no threats to a local community college after a student allegedly posted a statement about blowing up the school, police said.

The Middle Township Police Department received a tip Tuesday a student who takes online courses through the Atlantic Cape Community in the Cape May Court House section of the township posted threatening messages on Facebook, police said in a statement early Wednesday morning.

Dara Kingsman, 27, allegedly posted to the social media site she wanted to blow up unemployment or Atlantic Cape, police said. It was a general threat and did not provide a specific location.

Kingsman was charged with terroristic threats and released, police said.

The Cape May County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit searched the campus and found no threat. The college remains open, police said.

The Middle Township Police Department Patrol Division, Major Crimes Unit and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office investigated the incident.
