McGarrigel, Andrew J. “Andy”, “A.J.”, 53, of
Atlantic City and Brigantine passed through
the gates of heaven on Thursday November
23, 2017. Andrew was born in Atlantic City,
attended school in Brigantine and graduated
from Atlantic City High School, where he
enjoyed rowing crew. He was a Life Guard on
the Atlantic Beach Patrol and he was formerly
employed as a bartender at the Taj Mahal
Hotel and Casino.
He enjoyed traveling, living in Texas, South
Beach, Fla. and Syracuse. But he always
came back to Brigantine, the city he loved.
He is survived by his parents Harry and Lois
McGarrigel, brother William Lawler, nephew
William Lawler, grandnephew Devon Lawler,
aunts, uncles and many cousins.
Andrew was predeceased by his grandparents Harry and Helen McGarrigel, Harry
and Louise Galso, his aunt’s Betty Lange and Gayle McGarrigel, his uncle Donald
McGarrigel and cousin’s Lisa Hill and Albert Snyder.
Andrew brought love and joy to everyone who knew him. He would be there for you
whenever you needed him. He lost his life in a senseless act of violence.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11am at the
Community Presbyterian Church, 1501 W. Brigantine Ave. Brigantine. Visitation will be
held from 9:30 to 11:00AM at the church.
