40 years, countless memories at Morey’s PierWILDWOOD -- Morey’s Piers is asking guests to share their memories and help to preserve history in a new book being published as the company celebrates its 40th anniversary in the coming year. Guests past and present can submit a favorite photo of their experience on one of Morey’s Piers over the last 40 years and the story to go along with it.
When established in 1969, Morey's Piers had simple origins. In 1968, the founders Will and Bill Morey purchased a giant 12-lane fiberglass slide and placed it on what became the site of Surfside Pier. Now 40 seasons later Morey’s Piers consists of more than 100 rides and attractions spanning three amusement piers and two beachfront waterparks. Still family owned and operated, the company mission is “to create a spectacular family recreation experience in a safe, clean, friendly, unique environment.” Morey’s Piers voted one of the best seaside amusement parks in the world in 2007 is known as the largest seaside amusement park in the Western Hemisphere and is the recipient of countless international awards.
