WILDWOOD -- On Feb. 15, associates from Morey’s Piers & Beachfront Waterparks toured the Willow Grove Naval Air Station at the invitation of Mike Resseguie of the Pennsylvania Air National Guard and Morey’s Piers Attractions Maintenance Associate.
Will Morey, President and CEO of The Morey Organization, along with the Human Resources team consisting of Maggie Warner and Jeanine Grafe, met with the director of the Family Affairs Office at the Naval Air Station, who aids military personnel serving in the National Guard, reservists and those retiring from the military to find full time civilian positions after separating from the military.
The goal of the meeting is to begin a relationship in an effort to recruit other skilled individuals to join the maintenance staff at Morey’s Piers.
“Associates such as Mike Resseguie and Jim Rosell (Maintenance Manager for Mariners Landing and Adventure Pier) are textbook Attractions Maintenance associates for Morey’s Piers. They have a great work ethic, an attention to detail, and significant mechanical skills. Amusement rides in this day and age are sophisticated pieces of machinery not unlike the military aircraft Mike and Jim work on in The Guard,” said Geoff Rogers, Vice President of Operations for Morey’s Piers.
Mike Resseguie, who served in the Air Force for eight years and the Pennsylvania Air National Guard 111th Fighter Wing of the Willow Grove Naval Air Station for the last three years along with Jim Rosell, who served in the Navy for four years and the New Jersey Air National Guard 177th Fighter Wing of the Atlantic City Air National Guard for the last 16 years, presented Will and Jack Morey with a U.S. flag that was flown in an A-10 Thunderbolt 2 Aircraft during a three-hour combat mission from Al Asad Air Base in Iraq at Morey’s Piers annual holiday gathering. Resseguie made the arrangements for Will Morey to tour the facilities at Willow Grove Naval Air Station where he serves to thank him for his support of military personnel.
