County Chamber announces new directors
CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE -- The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce
Board of Directors welcomed three new members to the board at its
March 15 meeting.
Joining the Chamber’s Board of Directors are Joe Scheufele, Valerie
Polding and Arlene MacDonald.
Joseph Scheufele is the assistant vice president of business
development at South Jersey Energy, a South Jersey Industries
Company, located in Folsom and serving all of southern New Jersey.
Scheufele has been employed at South Jersey Industries for over 27
years and is a resident of Dennis Township.
Valerie K. Polding, CPA, joins the Chamber Board bringing more than
30 years of experience as a small business owner. Her business has
grown from a small bookkeeping service, Beachcomber Business
Services, to a full-service CPA firm located in Cape May Court
House. Polding is a member of the NJ Society of Certified Public
Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants.
Arlene MacDonald joined the Press of Atlantic City in 2005 as the
Advertising Manager of the Cape May County Office with more than 20
years of advertising experience in the media market. Previously,
MacDonald was co-owner of Rio Station and was involved in the daily
operations of the restaurant.
In welcoming these new directors, the Chamber also offered its
gratitude to outgoing Directors Lynda Pagliughi (South Jersey
Transportation Authority), Suzanne Nardi (United Way of Cape May
County), and Jeff Stewart (Cape May Whale Watcher).
The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce serves the business
community and has more than 950 members. The Chamber is governed by
a Board of Directors comprised of 36 distinguished business leaders.
Jeff Gott, senior vice president of commercial lending at Crest
Savings Bank is president of the Chamber. Vicki Clark serves as the
Chamber’s executive director overseeing the day-to-day operations of
the organization.
