You can get the feed URL (address) of a blog by clicking on the little orange
rss box or the link that says rss or feed. It's usually on the sidebar of a
blog.
RSS is incorporated into the web browsers Internet Explorer 7, the newest version of Safari and in Firefox 2.0.
So by our writers blogging, some of the stories they are working on are available instantly! If you subscribe to the blog, you’ll be notified as new articles become available.
We encourage our readers to interact with our writers on the blogs! At the end of each story, there is a link to post a comment. Simply click and type… it is very much like an instant opinion column! There you can interact with the writers and other readers.
This is a little more complicated, yet worth the effort as a picture holds a thousand words… For instance, if you attended a local sports game with your digital camera and took a photo of a game that one of our sports writers covered, you could post the picture right in the comments section of the article.
To post an image to a blog, the image needs to live on the internet somewhere, so you need an image host. Photobucket is an easy, free image hosting service available online. What you need to do is set up an account and follow the instructions for uploading your photos. In photobucket, you can check the checkbox of the picture you want to post, scroll to the bottom of the page and click “generate html.” Then, you’ll want to click and copy the code from the “myspace, livejournal thumbnail” box (the one at the top of the page). If you paste that code into the comment box at the bottom of the article you want to post the image to, after you submit you comment you’ll see the picture.
