Downbeach news travels to mountains of Kabul Lt. Col. Pete Mucciarone of Margate sent this picture from Kabul, Afghanistan, where he is collecting information to train soldiers who will work with the Afghan National Army and Police. The attached picture was taken in the mountains around Kabul in a place called Tapa Marajan. Mucciarone said he introduced two national policemen to the Downbeach Current, and while they enjoyed the pictures he didn't think they understood the print. |

CW3 Scott Forbes from North Cape May serving a one year tour in Afghanistan as a Pilot-in-Command on a UH-60A Blackhawk Helicopter with the 159th Medical Company (Air Ambulance) which comes from Wiesbaden, Germany. This Company provides MEDEVAC (Medical Evacuation) to Afghan, U.S. and Coalition Soldiers as well as Local Nationals. The photos were taken at a FOB (Forward Operating Base) in the Kunar Province of Northeastern Afghanistan. |
