John Essl of Galloway Township celebrated his birthday with his wife, Gretchen, on a 10-day cruise to Panama. They are both retired, and they love to travel to warm, sunny vacation spots.

Ian and Daniel Bernal of Egg Harbor Township traveled to Ecuador with their parents, John and Elizabeth Bernal, last summer. Ian (holding The Current) and Daniel are standing at the equator in a famous tourist attraction known as Mitad del Mundo (Middle of the World).

 
The Yost and MacElrevey families just traveled to the Republic of Panama in late December to early January. They went to the Gamboa Rainforest with The Wildwood Leader. Nate, Sophie and Zach Ginet of Seaville traveled with the Gazette on the Disney Magic cruise ship through the Panama Canal in August. Their 15 day adventure began at the Port of Los Angeles and took them to Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, through the Panama Canal, Cartagena, Aruba, Castaway Cay and finally to Port Canaveral.  Also traveling with them were mom and dad (Pam and Gil Ginet) and their Nana and Pop-Pop (Kathy and Dave Trimble of Cape May). Nile and Helen Linn of Townsends Inlet and Hatboro, Pa. vacationed in Costa Rica in February with the Gazette. They toured the National Theater in San Jose and continued their travels by visiting the rain forest and pineapple, banana and coffee plantations.

Ray Miller and Dianna Peddicord of Ventnor took The Current along with them to visit the Panama Canal, one of the ports on their vacation cruise.

Three pals traverse the canal

Edna Biehl of Linwood brought The Current on a Precious Moments Cruise with friends through the Panama Canal aboard the Brilliance of the Seas. She is accompanied by her friends Vi Hill, formerly of Farmington, Egg Harbor Township, and Barbara Wallace of Seminole, Fla. The cruise, in March 2007, included stops in Miami, Aruba, Puerto Limon and Grand Cayman.

Josh and Marna Cutler of Margate visited tropical Guatemala during the colorful Semana Santa festival.  In this picture they are holding The Current in front of the towering Volcano Agua, which is no longer active.

 

Atlantic City south

On a recent trip to Nicaragua, Dennis and Jane MacGrogan of Margate were surprised to see Casino Atlantic City on the island of Ometepe, in the middle of Lake Nicaragua.

Cruisin’ with The Leader

Lizabeth Lillo and her boyfriend Dave Bannon on vacation in Belize. They were on vacation exploring a Mayan cave in the rainforest and also got engaged aboard the Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship.

Cindy Campione traveled with the Gazette through the Panama Canal on a 12-day cruise with the Bredell family, Torri, Pop, Alex, Marilyn Hillman, Cindy, Les and Dude.
