Skiing in celebration
Chuck and Linda Tomlin, Chuck Reale, Mike Dixon, Phil Booyle,
Stephanie Baker and Steve Weierbach of Ventnor went skiing
in Vail, Colo. with The Current to celebrate Mike Dixon’s
promotion to battalion chief on the Atlantic City Fire
Department. Not pictured is Jamie Russo of Northfield, who
snapped the photo.
Traveling some rocky roads
Mike and Louise Ryan of Mays Landing pose at Mesa Verde
National Park in Colorado. In the background are the San
Juan Mountains. The Ryans just navigated the "Million Dollar
Highway" through those mountains on their way out of Ouray.
Also in their travels were the Canyonlands National Park and
the Arches National Park. Bill Ryan and Carol Ryan, Mike’s
siblings, live in Colorado Springs.
Greg Basile of Havertown Pa. and Villas
with his mother-in-law, Nancy George of Villas, took The
Gazette on a family trek thru the Rocky Mountains. “It was
beautiful trip - from shining sea to mountains' majesty!”
they wrote.
Rapid river
Erin Sless of Linwood took a whitewater rafting trip on the
Colorado River in September.
Great ski package
Sheldon Mohr and his mother, Joyce Mohr of Absecon, visited
Steamboat, Colo., in January. Joyce enjoyed the free
transportation to historic downtown, while Sheldon tackled
skiing the three mountains in deep “champagne” snow – the
dry powder that is just right for skiing. Spectacular views,
glorious sunsets, natural springs, low humidity and high
altitude are part of the package.

Royal Gorge in Canon City, Colorado.
Randy and Nancy Mazzoni took this photo on
their recent ski trip to Vail, Colo. in March. The Gazette
they are holding has a picture of their son Joshua on the
cover. Since he wasn’t with them on this trip, they liked
the idea of having him in the picture with them by being on
the cover of the Gazette they used. Coincidentally, Randy
was already in Colorado when that issue of the Gazette came
out, and his wife Nancy brought it with her when she came
out to meet him so that he could see it.
The O’Shea family and the
Gazette went to Crested Butte, Colorado to celebrate
daughter Heather’s graduation from the University of
Colorado at Boulder with a master of science in civil
engineering. Mother Betsy O’Shea holds the Gazette next to
Heather and her friend, Jackson. In the back row are
brother, Patrick, father, Tim O’Shea Jr., uncle, Paul O’Shea
and grandfather, Tim O’Shea Sr.

Enjoying the Colorado slopesfont
Linda and John Lindner from Somers
Point skied in Winter Park and visited Steamboat Springs during a
March trip to Vail, Colo. Along for the week-long trip but not
pictured were their friends Dan and Dawn Gill.
