This spring Ralph Pavese of Ventnor snapped this picture of his wife, Rose Marie, in front of Dracula’s Castle in Transylvania, Romania. They managed to escape the castle with The Current intact. They also visited the former communist countries of Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Hungry, and cruised the Blue Danube.

Attached is a picture of Ernie Huggard of Galloway Township, in front of a shuttle bus in Tirana, Albania. He was in Albania as part of his National Guard duty, where he participated in meetings with officers from 24 countries to discuss a multinational exercise to be conducted there later this year.

Joan and Lew Wolf and Jan and Bill Maguire, of Ocean City, traveled on the River Odyssey cruise ship on the Danube River through five eastern European countries. The Gazette sailed with them.

On a recent trip to Croatia, Toby and Allen Feld of Margate are seen walking along the 15th century wall surrounding the medieval city of Dubrovnik, one of Europe's most attractive cities and set on a peninsula along the Adriatic.
