Sharon, Howard, Brooke and Matthew LeWinter of Ventnor enjoyed a family vacation at the Riu Ocho Rios Resort in Jamaica, where life was “irie, mon” – happy, peaceful and content. They enjoyed the sun, beach, pool, lots of drinks and much more.

Nancy, Cain, Joe and Luke, the Rullo family of North Wildwood, on their recent trip to Negril, Jamaica B.W.I. with The Wildwood Leader. The family stayed at the Beaches resort on the islands west end. Everyone enjoyed beautiful sunsets on the beach, Hobie cat sailing, snorkeling, shell hunting and the new friends met. Luke and Cain students at Margaret Mace, especially enjoyed the buffet and the unlimited X-Box room. Stephanie Savage and her daughter Kayla took The Wildwood Leader along with them while visiting Montego Bay, Jamaica. The mother and daughter spent their summer vacation at the Iberostar Hotel and Resort in July fir six days. When they weren’t shopping, or checking out the scenes, they managed to relax and keep up with the happenings of the Wildwoods. Kayla is a student at Glenwood Elementary School in Wildwood, and her mother is employed at Cape Regional Medical Center.

The Dannehower and Caiazza families of Somers Point spent a fun-filled Easter vacation in Negril, Jamaica at the Club Riu Resort, where they enjoyed snorkeling, parasailing, beach and pool activities. They went sightseeing in and around Negril and the beautiful seven-mile beach, and even jumped off the cliffs at Rick's Café. The Gazette traveled with George and Donna Booskos of Ocean City to Sandals Montego Bay Jamaica where the couple escaped to celebrate their third wedding anniversary. They enjoyed eight days of Caribbean cuisine, white sandy beaches and beautiful sunsets.

The Anderson family of Pomona enjoyed paradise at the Beaches Negril resort in Jamaica with The Current in July. Octavia, Abdullah, Amira and Abdullah Jr. had a good time water skiing, scuba diving, kayaking, snorkeling, jet skiing and being lazy in the pool. Abdullah even got a thrill jumping from the highest cliff into the Caribbean Sea at Rick's Cafe, a world-famous attraction in Negril.

Seasoned cruisers

 Joe and Stefanie Kuehner of Egg Harbor City took the Freedom of the Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world, Nov. 12-19. They traveled to the western Caribbean – visiting Cozumel, Mexico; Montego Bay, Jamaica; the Grand Caymans; and Labadee, Haiti, Royal Caribbean's private island. The two said they enjoy taking cruises and like to go on the newer, bigger ships when possible.

Lovin’ the romance in Jamaica

Howard and Sharon LeWinter of Ventnor took The Current to Couples Sansouci Resort in Jamaica in June. They enjoyed the sun, beach, food, drinks, nightlife … and most of all the romance!

Lynne Barnes and daughter Lindsay of Absecon enjoyed a wonderful week’s vacation with family and friends at the all-inclusive Beaches Boscobel Golf Resort and Spa in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

The Gazette traveled with Jessica, Derek and Dylan Frasca when they traveled with their parents to Breezes Resort, in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. They climbed the popular Dunns River Falls, learned about Jamaican culture and spent a week doing fun activities.
