Twenty-five members of the First
Presbyterian Church of Ocean City left June 23 for a week
long mission trip to New Orleans, La. and took the Gazette
with them. The mission team helped residents in the Greater
New Orleans area in their efforts to recover from the
devastation of Hurricane Katrina in August of 2005. They
worked with the Recovery Ministry of Canal Street
Presbyterian Church in New Orleans. Pictured in the front

Gene and Casey Adams of Marmora had a
chance to party at Mardi Gras with the Gazette in New
Orleans, La. this past February. Here they are on Bourbon

Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
John Henry, with his sister, Anne, and brother-in-law, Dan
Organ, were in New Orleans with the Gazette volunteering for Habitat
for Humanity.
Little wedding guests
Tara Brown, 4, and her brother, Ryan, 2, of Northfield are shown
here at the historic Columns Hotel in New Orleans, where they
attended the wedding of their Aunt Erin & Uncle Charles on Oct. 7.
Building humanity
A
local group worked with Habitat for Humanity June 18-22 to rebuild a
house in the 9th Ward in New Orleans, one of the areas hit hardest
by Hurricane Katrina. Pictured left to right on Bourbon Street are

Jungblut’s daughter Melissa, Barbara Risimini, Joanne Carr and Betty

Henry, Cheryl, Henry and Ella
Weigel, Jean Cossaboone, and John, Kim, Johnny, Sammy and Nicky
McCardell all visited relatives in Covington, La. this spring.
