The McClain family of Mays Landing was
in Boston, Mass., with the Current for opening day at Fenway
Park.

Enjoying Massachusetts ‘Cuisine and Culture’
A
group of local friends traveled to North Adams, Mass., for a
weeklong course of “Cuisine and Culture.” Lodging was at the
historic Porches Inn. They enjoyed meals at local restaurants, and
visits to the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art and the Clark
Museum. Pictured are Phyllis and Brian Bootel of Ventnor, Carol and

The Gazette went on a skiing vacation trip
to the Berkshire Mountains in western Massachusetts with Ocean City
High School friends (Mike and Dave) and family. Standing left are

Nantucket Island, Mass., during their trip to New England in August.

Walking the quaint cobblestone
streets of Nantucket
Beth Bariss of Galloway Township and Sue Levitt
traveled to Nantucket, Mass., in October.

Trumpeting The Current in Tanglewood
David Lamkin, a
senior at Mainland Regional High School, and The
Current attended a two-week trumpet workshop at the
Boston University Tanglewood Institute, the summer
home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Lamkin
studied with Terry Everson, music professor at
Boston University and member of the Boston Symphony
Orchestra.

they encountered Ted Kennedy riding his golf cart on their recent
trip to New England.

Honeymoon on the Cape
Russell Band and
Kari (Schenck) Band of Somers Point spent their
honeymoon in Chatham, Mass., on Cape Cod, after
getting married June 9. They enjoyed each others
company while relaxing on the beach, going for
walks, shopping, eating good food and drinking good
drinks. They especially enjoyed the seafood from
Nickerson's, pictured.
