A trip to ‘O'Keeffe country’

Judith Saylor of Linwood is pictured here holding The Current at the entrance to Ghost Ranch on Abiquiqu, N.M.  In September, she had a journey through “O’Keeffe country,” the area where artist Georgia O'Keeffe lived and painted. Saylor flew into Albuquerque, rode the Turquoise Trail up to Santa Fe and went on to Abiquiqu, where she stayed at Ghost Ranch. There, she said, one can see the Milky Way every night and enjoy the clear, clean air by day. She passed the time hiking the colorful mountainous terrain, taking photographs and painting. Saylor said she met people who worked for and had fond memories of O'Keeffe, who has been an inspiration for her own artistic endeavors.
