Great time in the

of Egg Harbor Township enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing time in
Pigeon Forge, Tenn. for their family vacation in the Great Smoky
Mountains. Shown at Dollywood are Brenden, Nathan, Dawn, David, his

the rides and attractions, shops, bluegrass music and the Eagle

Hillbilly Golf and the Dixie Stampede. Unforgettable, though, was
Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
The Schuler family of Dan, Michele, Nick, Amanda and Sarah, of
Palermo, took the Gazette to meet with family in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
during the Thanksgiving break.
The Gazette is on the steps of Gaylord’s Opryland Hotel in Nashville
with 43 members of the Knights of Columbus Madonna Maria Council

Anne Koch. Attendees enjoyed a fun-filled seven-day bus tour that
left Sea Isle and toured Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, the world famous
Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, road to the highest point of the Smokey
Mountains – Newfound Gap – as well as making many other stops at
points of interest along the way.
On top of Old Smokey
Dan Haines of Egg Harbor City went to Dollywood, just outside
Gatlinburg, Tenn., in June. The trip took him to the Great Smokey
Mountains Clingmans Dome – the top of Old Smokey – and other points
of interest. Dollywood had a water park and amusement rides and some
really good bluegrass music. Haines said The Current sat on his car
dashboard watching out the window the whole way.
Lovin’ the music in Memphis
Mike Carbone and his buddy Don
Murray of Galloway Township went to see 63 bands on the Mississippi
River in Memphis for the Memphis in May Music festival. They are

Kickin' their heels up in Nashville
Kathy Steinman, Sandy Morlando, Christine and Donna Uecker, all from
Galloway Township, kicked up their heels along the riverfront in
Nashville, Tenn., June 7-10 at the CMA Music Fest. Dubbed "Country
Music’s Biggest Party," an estimated 190,000 people attended for
four days and nights of great country music. When all was said and
done, all they could say was, “Yee-Haw!”
Fun at the Deer Farm
Noah Grace of Egg Harbor Township traveled with his grandparents to
Sevierville, Tenn. in August. Noah and his family went to Deer Farm
and Exotic Petting Zoo, where he got to pet and feed many kinds of
animals. He also got to feed one of Santa’s reindeer an apple and go
on a pony ride.
Feeding their need for speed
The Ade and Wheeler families
traveled to Bristol, Tenn., for the Aug. 26 NASCAR evening race at
the Bristol Motor Speedway. Shown right after the race are John and
