Welcome home
An avid local
supporter of our soldiers serving in Iraq recently had the chance to
meet some of the troops upon their return to the United States.
Martha Gaines of Galloway Township, second from left, has been
collecting goods and shipping them to U.S. military units stationed
in Iraq for years. When she recently traveled to Fort Hood, Texas,
to meet some of those troops, naturally she took her favorite
newspaper to share with the guys. The picture was taken Feb. 2 just
after their welcome-home parade. Her collection box is in the lobby
of the Municipal Complex on Jimmie Leeds Road in Galloway Township.

Leader loves the Longhorns
Yee-haw, ride ‘em cowboy! While Sue Kelly, of North Wildwood, was
visiting friends in Fort Worth, a side trip to Granberry, Texas, she
brought The Wildwood Leader up close and personal with a genuine
Texas Longhorn. This steer was hand-raised by his rider/owner from
birth and is ridden as a good will gesture on the downtown streets
of the small town.
Houston we have a
problem!
