Ron Sage of Northfield went to Park City, Utah in December to visit
his daughter Heather for her 21st birthday. They met up with
Heather's brother Justin, who lives in Colorado. Not pictured are
Doreen Sage (nanny) from Wildwood and aunt Joanne from Philadelphia.
Ken and Kathy Giebel, former Sea Isle City residents for 28 years,
now living in St. George, Utah traveled back to their old stomping
grounds for a three week visit. They stopped in for lunch at the
Tuckahoe Inn with old friend Phyllis Linn of Sea Isle City before
heading back west. Kathy still likes to read the Gazette.
Rick Travers, Jeff Schwartz, and Ellen and Lou Demoulin traveled
with the Gazette to Utah. They spent almost a week hiking in the
Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument in early September.
Ellen and Lou have hiked in the area several times. It was a first
for Rick and Jeff, owner of Red Sky Cafe.
Skiing the week away in Utah
This group enjoyed great skiing and snowboarding all week over
Easter break in Park City, the Canyons and Deer Valley in Utah. All
the families joined together for Easter dinner and had the most
recent copy of The Current for their reading pleasure. Left to right

The Jett Family from North Wildwood was at the Missionary Training
Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Provo,
Utah on Aug. 20. Oldest son Bill has accepted an assignment to serve
for 24 months in the church’s mission in Barranquilla, Colombia.
Bill is a 2007 graduate of Wildwood Catholic High School and a
sophomore at Brigham Young University. Bill’s parents first met
while serving similar missions in Quito, Ecuador in the mid-1980s.
Itsy Bitsy sightsees with Granddad
Brian Vigue of Pleasantville and his wife, Kay, went to visit Temple
Square in Salt Lake City while they were in Utah to visit family.
Here, Brian is with their granddaughter, Elizabeth "Bitsy" Martin of
Sandy, Utah. Kay stayed in the car because it was starting to snow.
It was April 15, and there was a fair amount of snow by the end of
the day.

An island of life in the Great Salt Lake
Charley and Kay Myers of Ventnor brought The
Current with them to Antelope Island State Park in the Great Salt
Lake while visiting family in Utah. Because the lake is about three
to five times saltier than the ocean, it has no fish, but the island
is home to many animals, including antelope, bison, coyotes, deer
and elk.
Marxes mark national parks
Bob and Theresa Marx of Somers Point, along with their daughter
Cindy, grandchildren Justin and Julie, and friend Pattie Baird,
traveled cross-country to explore the beauty of U.S. national parks.
Their many stops included Mammoth Cave, the Petrified Forest, Bryce
Canyon, Zion Park, Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore and Arches National
Park in Utah, where they took a moment to pose with The Current.
Dave Linn, wife Terrie, son Dave, and daughter Diana, of Townsends
Inlet, started out touring America with the Gazette on June 30,
visiting 30 states. Here they stopped to visit Ken and Kathy Giebel,
formerly of Sea Isle City, in St. George, Utah on July 26.
Social climbers
Marie Monahan of the Pilates Studio of Ventnor,
Kim Hancock of Linwood, and Jeanette Giemza of Preferred Travel in
Northfield were among a group of 19 who took a trip to the Red
Mountain Spa in St. George, Utah, in October. The photo was taken on
a scenic hike in the beautiful red mountains of Utah.

Break in Park City
Nicole Nevitt, Liz, Craig, Rick, Brenda and Allison Travers are

They spent a week skiing in Utah on their winter break from
school.

Petersburg, traveled to Park City, Utah with the Gazette in early
September for a family wedding. Pictured here are Louis and Madison

Leader goes to Parent’s
Weekend at BYU
The Wildwood Leader traveled to Provo, Utah with
Scott and Juanita Jett, of North Wildwood, for Parent's Weekend at
Brigham Young University. The Jett's daughter, Mary, is a sophomore
majoring in English with a minor in Spanish.
