The Gazette traveled to Virginia Beach, Va. on March 16 for
the 36th annual Shamrock Marathon. From left are Casey
Corrigan, New York, N.Y., Whitney Randles, Seaville, and
Katie Dougherty, Ocean City. Each successfully completed the
half marathon (13.1 miles). Each stride added tomorrows to
the lives of Whitney’s children, Colin and Sean Randles,
both born with cystic fibrosis. |

Terry McMahon and Marie Morris traveled with Terry Morris to James Madison University in Virginia for their granddaughter Megan Morris’ graduation. They returned along Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah Mountains, where they were photographed with The Cape May Gazette in hand. |

The Clark and Caracciolo families traveled to Williamsburg, Va. For their annual family vacation and the Gazette went too. They visited Busch Gardens and Water Country USA. Chris even got in a little history. From left are David, Nicole, Sara and Dave Caracciolo, Ryan, Jenna (holding the Gazette), Jill and Chris Clark. The Caracciolos continued their family vacation to Florida while the Clarks left the kids behind to travel to the Bahamas. |

Seaville took the Gazette to Williamsburg, Va. where they
dined on delicious Chesapeake Bay seafood at Christiana
Campbell’s Tavern. |

Having a blast at Busch Gardens The Santa Maria boys of Absecon – Phil, 7; Tony, 5; and Nick, 3 – enjoyed a week vacation over Fourth of July at Colonial Williamsburg, Va. Also having fun were their mom and dad, Penny and Phil Santa Maria, as well as their mom-mom and pop Vallauri. They went on all the rides at Busch Gardens and Water Country. Cannons, fireworks and lots of ice cream topped off the Fourth of July celebration. |

The Labrizzis of Linwood enjoyed a vacation in Colonial Williamsburg, Va. Pictured are Nicolette, 8, and Michael, 6. The family took a guided lantern tour of the historic area of Williamsburg, which the children really enjoyed. They also went to Water Country and Busch Gardens.
Chincoteague Island

Lt. Col. Abe Vallese, USMC (ret.) and Elaine Vallese, of Seaville,
took the Gazette to the National Museum of the Marine Corps, in
Quantico, Va., in December to be photographed with Major Bill
McWatters, recently returned from Iraq, and June and John
Bogushefsky, of Wildwood and Maryland.
Therese and
Courtney Houser in Chincoteague
Therese and Courtney Houser vacationed with the Gazette in Chincoteague, Va. in July. While there, they saw the wild ponies of Assateague swim across the channel to be auctioned at the annual Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Department carnival. Therese and Courtney are originally from Virginia and currently reside in Palermo.  Kyle Phillips, 6, and Robert
Phillips, 9, of Ocean City, took the Gazette hiking on the
Appalachian Trail in Virginia this August. |
Naval wedding V. Mae Townsend traveled with The Current of Absecon to Charlotteville, Va., to attend the wedding of her grandson Lt. Commander Jason R. Stumpf of the U.S. Navy. Stumpf is pictured to the left of Townsend along with his swordsmen for the ceremony.
On a recent vacation to Virginia, three couples from Galloway Township, the Atlases, the Mooneys and the Horners, enjoyed a scenic drive along Skyline Drive with a stop at Loft Mountain.

Gazette with them when they visited
Adventure Island Water Park in Bush Gardens.
Tom and his wife, De, the former deputy
clerk and deputy court administrator for the
Borough of Woodbine, moved to a lakefront
home in Ellenton, Fla. and have now settled
in to the Florida lifestyle. They have a
total of five grandchildren and enjoy all
their visits throughout the year. Melissa,
10, and Nicole, 4, are the daughters of
Robert and Tammy Cappolina, of Beesley's
Point and avid readers of the Upper Township
Gazette.
