McMeekin considers another run for Margate City Commission

MARGATE – Retired Margate police officer Edwin McMeekin said in a phone interview Monday, Jan. 22 that he has formed a committee and is considering another run for the Margate City Commission.
McMeekin ran unsuccessfully in the last two commission elections. He said that he had picked up the official packet at Margate City Hall and is in the process of getting the signatures necessary to have his name placed on the ballot.
McMeekin said he is not yet aligned with any running mates and that he will soon decide if it would be better to join another team or look for two other people to run with.
The Margate City Commission election is May 8.
