MARGATE - Citing the local tax levy that has increased by 37 percent and cost local taxpayers more than $4.9 million since 2004, City Council candidates Mike Becker, Scott Abbott and Dan Campbell unveiled a five-point plan to restore fiscal responsibility and spending control to Margate.
The plan focuses on protecting local businesses and keeping them viable and restoring civility to a local government that has been plagued by political infighting for the last four years.
The five point plan is based on stabilizing property taxes, controlling government spending, keeping local businesses viable and prosperous, restoring civility to local government and preserving Margate's special quality of life.
