MARGATE – The long-awaited school facilities report from David Fraytak of Faridy, Veisz, and Fraytak PC was presented to the Margate Board of Education and members of the community in a sparsely attended meeting Tuesday, April 17 at the Margate Performing Arts Center.
Fraytak said it took more than eight weeks to compile the data for the report after meetings with residents, candidates and administrators and doing careful assessments of each of the district’s three schools. The study is to be used as a tool for the Board of Education.
“It is an unbiased report, and there are things in there that some groups will like and something that other groups will not. I will not make a recommendation, but we have provided the information to make it possible for the board to make a more informed decision,” said Fraytak.
The report will be accepted by the Margate Board of Education at its April 18 meeting and made available for residents to read at some point thereafter. Board president Barbara Perskie could not give a date when it would be available on the district’s website but said the board is making it a priority.
