MARGATE — The Milton & Betty Katz Jewish Community Center will recognize the AMI Foundation of Atlantic Medical Imaging with its Community Leadership Award at its annual gala 6-9 p.m. Thursday, March 22 at The Noyes Arts Garage of Stockton University in Atlantic City.
The AMI Foundation was founded in 2003 to identify and develop opportunities that enhance the quality of life and improve the level of health care for residents through education, programs and philanthropic endeavors, according to a press release. Since its inception it has provided more than $1 million to charitable organizations in South and Central Jersey.
“The AMI Foundation of Atlantic Medical Imaging has made a major difference in the lives of so many through their philanthropic endeavors in our local community," Katz JCC Chief Executive Officer Jack I. Fox said. "We are pleased to recognize their efforts to make our community a better place."
The AMI Foundation funds services such as diagnostic testing and provides to local charities that give back to the community residents in need, gala co-chairwoman Susan Cohen said.
The gala raises money to support JCC scholarships for needy individuals, along with programs and services for children, senior citizens and the entire community.
Scholarship awards will be given to Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City outstanding youth members.
Gala tickets are $200 and include cocktails, dinner and live music. Sponsorships and tribute book ads are available.
