Mocktails and Cocktails

A Mocktails and Cocktails fundraiser for the Matthew Bee Memorial Scholarship will be held 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, at Gallagher's Steak House at Resorts Casino Hotel. Proceeds support scholarships for substance-abuse treatment through the Hansen Foundation. Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door, and include hors d'oeuvres and two drink vouchers. Holiday tree and menorah lighting

Longport will hold its annual holiday tree and menorah lighting 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, at the gazebo at 33rd and Atlantic avenues. Bring a camera to take pictures with Santa. Refreshments will be served at the Community Center.


Chabad Community Shabbat Dinner

Ocean City High School crew will hold a designer bag bingo fundraiser Saturday, Dec. 2, at St. James Church Memorial Hall, 17 S. Newport Ave., Ventnor. Doors open 6 p.m., and the games begin at 7. Twilight Holiday Parade

Ventnor will hold its second annual Twilight Holiday Parade 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 on Ventnor Avenue between Dudley and Troy avenues. The theme "It's a Small World" celebrates Ventnor's diverse population. More than 60 units are expected to take part in the parade. A Kids Block Party will be held at the end of the parade route on Troy Avenue. There will be horse-drawn carriage rides, visits with Santa, an obstacle course, inflatables, concessions and vendors. Holiday tree lighting

Ventnor will hold its holiday tree lighting 5:50 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10 at Ventnor City Hall, 6201 Atlantic Ave. All are welcome to join this festive occasion. Bring the children for a meet and greet with someone special, cookies and hot chocolate.

Ventnor menorah lighting

Ventnor's annual menorah lighting will be held 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12 at the Chabad Chai Center, 6605 Atlantic Ave. Celebrate the first night of Hanukkah with the lighting of a giant menorah, refreshments include hot chocolate, doughnuts and Hanukkah treats. Afternoon at the Movies

The Ventnor City Clerk’s Office is collecting Toys for Tots 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Bring an unwrapped toy to the clerk's office for distribution to children in the community. The deadline for the toys to be dropped off is 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13.

Mahjong Game Day

Holiday Art Show and Sale

The Ventnor Senior Transportation Service provides free rides to the market, bank, beauty salon, doctor's office or lab in Longport, Margate and Ventnor to Ventnor residents age 60 or older without serious handicaps. Tour the Historic Organs at Boardwalk Hall

The Historic Organ Restoration Committee Inc. presents free half-hour recitals and tours of the historic organs at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City at noon Monday through Friday, May through September.
