MARGATE — The Milton and Betty Katz Jewish Community Center is accepting reservations for a winter 2018 trip to Israel for Hanukkah. 

The trip to the Holy Land will run from Nov. 29-Dec. 8, 2018 and include a Shabbat weekend in Jerusalem, with two nights in Tel Aviv and two nights at Kibbutz Lodi near the Kinneret. 

“Visiting Israel is a special experience for anyone – add the lights, festivities and tradition of Chanukah and it becomes a truly once in a lifetime experience,” said Josh Cutler, coordinator of the program. “There is an unparalleled and distinctive feeling that emanates from the Old City during the eight nights of Hanukkah."

The cost is $3,600 based on double room occupancy and includes round-trip airfare from John F. Kennedy International Airportin New York, hotel stays at Dan Panorama Hotel in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, 14 meals, tour guide, and day excursions to the Dead Sea in Masada plus stops in Safed, Nazareth and more. In Jerusalem participants will explore the Old City and visiting the Western Wall for Shabbat, the Israel Museum and Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Museum. Optional transportation from Margate to and from the JFK airport is available.
