The New Jersey Department of Community Affairs will hold a housing recovery information session 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1 at the Long Beach Township Municipal Building, 6805 Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach, for Hurricane Sandy-affected residents statewide who are enrolled in the Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Elevation and Mitigation program and the Low- to-Moderate Income Homeowner Rebuilding program, and rental property owners participating in the Landlord Rental Repair Program.

Assistance will be provided to help applicants navigate the programs.

“We encourage participants in our housing recovery programs to come to the information session if they have questions about their project,” Department of Community Affairs Commissioner Charles A. Richman said. “With experts on hand to provide answers and offer guidance, it is a great opportunity for participants to get the information they need to keep moving forward with their recovery.”

In addition to program managers who can answer questions about the RREM, LMI, LRR and Rental Assistance programs, representatives will be available to discuss how to select a reliable contractor.

Applications are no longer being accepted for the programs, according to communication strategist Lisa M. Ryan.
