Stuff the Police Cruiser

Santa and his helpers will be collecting toys at the Stuff the Cruiser toy drive 7-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1 at the Sigmund A. Rimm Athletic Complex at Jerome and Amherst avenues in Margate.

The Ventnor, Margate and Longport police departments are asking people to help make the holiday season bright for needy youngsters in Atlantic County through their Operation Stuff the Cruiser toy drive.

Officers will be collecting toys 7-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1 at the Sigmund A. Rimm Athletic Complex at Jerome and Amherst avenues in Margate. 

The event will feature train rides, a light display, holiday music, face painting, popcorn, hot chocolate and children's crafts.

Organizers are asking attendees to bring an unwrapped toy to "stuff the cruiser." The toys will be distributed to children throughout the community for the holidays.

The event is sponsored by Ventnor City Police Benevolent Association Local 97, Margate City PBA Local 65, Longport PBA Local 363, the Atlantic County Toys for Kids program and other organizations.
