Project Graduation raffle
The Egg Harbor Township High School Project Graduation committee, in partnership with the Community Partnership for Egg Harbor Township Schools Inc., is selling raffle tickets for the 2017 raffle fundraiser. If all 2,000 tickets are sold, the grand prize is $20,000 with lesser prizes of $3,000 and $2,000. Tickets are $50 each. CrossFit fundraiser for injured officer
CrossFit OTG and D’Arcy Johnson and Day law firm, both located in the township, are hosting a Community CrossFit Event to benefit the family of Atlantic City Police Officer Josh Vadell, who was shot in the line of duty on Labor Day weekend. The fundraiser is 10a.m. -1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 at the gym, 3330 Bargaintown Road. Cost is $20 for adults, $10 for kids. Public is welcome to workout or just watch. The Scullville Volunteer Fire Company’s annual Terror in the Junkyard Hayride and Maze opens at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30. Beef and beer fundraiser
Hearts Therapeutic Riding Center Inc, is hosting a beef and beer fundraiser 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8 at DiOrio’s Circle Café in 10 MacArthur Blvd., Somers Point. Addiction memorial walk
Stop the Heroin organization is hosting a Memorial Walk at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8 beginning at the Kennedy Plaza along the Atlantic City Boardwalk. Walkers are asked to fundraise, with proceeds benefitting the organization’s goal of funding sober living residencies for those in recovery. The Egg Harbor Township High School science department is hosting a Monster Dash 5K and 1-mile walk fundraiser event on Saturday, Oct. 15. Trunk or Treat
The Egg Harbor Township High School Renaissance club is having its first annual Community Trunk or Treat from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 in the high school parking lot near the tennis courts. Safe family-friend event with candy, games, face-painting and costume contests.
Organizers are asking for participants to sign up to host decorated trunks to fill the lot. Kids can go from trunk to trunk trick or treating and prizes will be given to best decorated trunk and best costume. Parking spots are $10 per decorated car, which includes admission for all of the car’s participants. Cost per child for those not arriving in a decorated car is $5. Youth Basketball League

The FunWave Band is searching for musicians willing to contribute to the band. The band, which plays at no cost, aims to fundraise for local charities through the performances. Ready to Ride
The Egg Harbor Township Police Athletic League is offering ongoing registrations for its Ready to Ride program. Ready to Ride is a family oriented ATV, dirt bike and go-kart riding site operated by the PAL. Located at 2590 Ridge Ave. (between the Black Horse Pike and Delilah Road) the 35-acre member riding area consists of more than 8 miles of maintained trails, go-kart track, beginner track and motocross track.
