EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP —Township artist Marie Natale is hosting a watercolor exhibit at the Ocean City Arts Center, 17th and Simpson avenues, Ocean City. The show is titled “Inspired by Light, Morning to Night. A reception is scheduled 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, July 14.

Natale started painting at age 12 after being encouraged by a teacher who recognized her potential. She earned a master’s degree in art education from Rowan University and taught art for several years in local schools.

She was the founder of Paw Togs/Enchanted Beginnings, a clothing line for infants and children. After running this business for 10 years, Natale turned her attention to industrial design, creating gift products and plant containers which were distributed worldwide via national chains such as Walmart, Lowes, K-mart and others. She designed and painted covers for Exit Zero Magazine in Cape May and Ocean City Magazine. Her work has appeared in other publications as well. A signature member of the Noyes Museum in Galloway, Natale has been exhibited in and earned many awards for her watercolors both locally and on the national level, including the Gold Medal of Honor in Aquamedia by Audubon Artists Inc. in 2013. She currently teaches watercolor privately at her home studio as well as at local studios.
