Spring fling

The Swift Elementary School Parents Club is hosting a Spring Fling Flea Market and Festival 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. May 20 on the school’s field. Food, yard sale and flea market vendors will be set up. Lularoe event

The Bargaintown Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary will host a Lularoe Multi-Consultant Extravaganza from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at the Egg Harbor Township Community Center, 5045 English Creek Ave. Ten local consultants will be selling the clothing, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the auxiliary. Hops for History

The Greate Egg Harbor Township Historical Society is hosting "Hops for History," tour and celebration 5:30-7:30 p.m., Sunday, May 21 at Tuckahoe Brewery, 3092 English Creek Ave. Event will include beer tasting, brewery tour, light food and a brief history of beer making. Special education resource

The Egg Harbor Township Special Education Resource Group meets 7 p.m. one Monday a month at Alder Avenue Middle School. The meetings provide a stress-free way for special needs parents, staff, administrators and guest speakers to address topics regarding special education services and strategies. Ranch Hope meeting

Ranch Hope Auxiliary No. 13 Atlantic County will hold a covered-dish luncheon at noon Tuesday, May 23, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 290 Asbury Road. The ranch provides outpatient counseling, residential treatment, special education, independent living, adventure-based activities and day camps for at-risk children. Anyone interested in helping is welcome. Members are asked to bring personal-care items such as body wash and toothpaste for the boys at the ranch and sports bras in all sizes for the girls at the shelter. EHT schools performing arts events

Egg Harbor Township Schools Fine and Performing Arts will host the following events this spring at Egg Harbor Township High School: “Evening of Dance and Theater” 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 24; and “Jazz Night" 7 p.m. Thursday, May 25. The Dr. Joyanne D. Miller School will host the Miller strings concert 7 p.m. Thursday, May 25; Miller band concert 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 1; and Miller chorus concert 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 13.

School board meetings

The Egg Harbor Township Board of Education will hold regular meetings at 7 p.m. on the following Tuesdays in the board room of Alder Avenue Middle School: May 23, June 13, June 27, July 25, Aug. 22, Sept. 12, Sept. 26, Oct. 10, Oct. 17, Nov. 14, Nov. 28, and Dec. 12. The board is scheduled to hold work session meetings at 6 p.m. on the following Tuesdays: May 16, June 20, Sept. 19, Nov. 21 and Dec. 19. Memorial Day parade

Registration is underway for the Egg Harbor Township Veterans Advisory Board’s Memorial Day parade, set for 9 a.m. Monday, May 29. Those wishing to participate must submit registration no later than May 22 and have a patriotic theme. The parade route is down Ocean Heights Avenue from Zion Road to Swift Avenue. A remembrance ceremony will be held immediately following the parade at the Veterans Park memorial. Greek festival

Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church’s 35th annual Greek Festival is scheduled for Thursday, June 1-Sunday, June 4, on the grounds of the church, 7004 Ridge Ave. Festival hours are 5-10 p.m. Thursday, June 1, and Friday, June 2, noon-11 p.m. Saturday, June 3, and noon-10 p.m. Sunday, June 4. Parking is free. Admission is $1. Children under 5 are free. Entertainment, traditional Greek food, rides and vendors. Naughty novelty bingo

The Farmington Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxilary is hosting a “Naughty Novelty” bingo night 7 p.m. June 3 at the fire hall, 301 Maple Ave. Prizes will be adult novelty items. Doors open 6 p.m. Cost is $25 per player. Proceeds benefit the auxiliary. For tickets, call 609-377-6332.

Dog park walk

The Friends of the Egg Harbor Township Dog Park will host the 6th Annual Bark for Your Park walk at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 3 in Bargaintown Park, Delaware Avenue. Registration is $10. Proceeds benefit the park. Go to

Primary voting

Polls will open from 6 a.m.- 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6 for the primary election. Registered voters will receive sample ballots the week prior, which will include voting location assignments. Call Atlantic County Board of Elections at 609-645-5867.

Kindergarten registration open

The Egg Harbor Township School District is accepting kindergarten registrations. Call 609-927-4141, ext. 1234 for information or an appointment. Required items include shot records, original birth certificate, mortgage statement, tax bill, utility bill, or current lease if renting, and valid driver’s license. Only the legal parent or guardian can register a child. Custody papers are accepted if the legal guardian is not available. Children must be 5 years old on or before Oct. 1, 2017. See
