EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – In recognition of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, the Arc of Atlantic County will offer two workshops in march where parents or family members can learn more about support opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

An overview of the Division of Developmental Disabilities Supports Program will be given 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 8. This workshop is geared for parents and school professionals who will be helping a person transition into the adult world of support service once their school entitlement ends at age 21. To reserve a space, register by March 6.

The topic of the second workshop, set for 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, will be guardianship and special needs trusts. Michael Weinraub, a certified elder law attorney, will speak about guardianship. Ted Rich and Hank Rich from Barberio and Rich Financial Services will discuss the benefits and funding of a special needs trust. To reserve a space, register by March 27.
