EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP — Four Scouts from Egg Harbor Township Troop 94 received their Eagle Scout badges April 4 at the Fellowship Hall of Zion United Methodist Church.

The four Scouts were Jack Bannan, Cole Charydczak, Phillip Yacovelli and Matthew Cieslak. The troop leader is Peter Bruno.

The following is a brief description of each boy’s Eagle Scout project:

• Jack Bannan, 17, purchased and assembled, with the help of other Scouts, large aluminum bleachers set up at the Holy Spirit High School track in Absecon where his sister, Angela Bannan, runs high school track.

• Cole Charydczak, 16, designed and installed an educational tree identification game on a walking trail at the Atlantic County Park in Estell Manor.

• Phillip Yacovelli, 15, completed a yard improvement project and built a trash enclosure for the Sisters of Saint Joseph, who live in a convent in Somers Point. Old, overgrown bushes were pulled out and replaced, a clothesline was rebuilt to be safer and sturdier, the foundation of their house was painted and the trash enclosure was built so the sisters had a safe place to store their trash cans.

• Matthew Cieslak, 15, completed a landscaping project for St. Joseph’s Regional School in Somers Point to restore and improve the garden behind the school.
