The Community Partnership for Egg Harbor Township Schools Inc. will hold its 11th annual Dice and Dine fundraiser 6 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at Atlantic City Country Club in Northfield.
The event will feature live casino games including five blackjack tables, craps, roulette and Texas Hold ’em poker provided by Full House Casino Entertainment; a two-hour open beer and wine bar, dinner and an auction.
The ticket price includes $50 in casino chips; guests will have the opportunity to purchase additional chips throughout the night. At the end of the night, gamblers can exchange their chips for auction tickets for the chance to win prizes.
The event also honors three "aces" annually – a student, a staff member and a community individual or business that have made a positive impact on the school district in the preceding year.
Established in December 2005 and governed by a volunteer 18-member board, the Community Partnership has raised about $400,000 for the district for technology purchases, capital projects, academic enhancement and extracurricular activities.
Past fundraising proceeds have allowed for the purchase of 162 new Chromebooks and 36 bay charging carts, a playground at H. Russell Swift Elementary School, three district computer labs, commercial kitchen equipment for the high school field house and concession stand, an LED marquee sign at the corner of High School Drive and English Creek Avenue, a Steinway grand piano for performing arts students, and three high-definition digital cameras and upgrades for the high school television studio, EHT-TV, according to organizers.
Tickets are $85 or $750 for a table of 10. Sponsorship packages are available.
