Grace Mozitis of Linwood, a sophomore at Mainland Regional High School, won the chance to sing on stagewith the Jersey Shore Pops Saturday, Dec. 16 in the orchestra's Fantasia Christmas concert at the Middle Township Performing Arts Center in Cape May Court House.

Jersey Shore Pops conductor Linda Gentille offered spots in the show to three vocalists and three instrumentalists. The six were chosen after a talent competition for amateur performers ages 12-17 in which participants were required to submit a YouTube video for the judges to consider.

Gentille said she and a panel of judges spent hours poring over the videos to choose the winners.

Mozitis was chosen to sing along with Hannah Rose Zoltowski, a sophomore at Middle Township High School, and Alan Rendzak. Twin brothers David and Matthew Tzorfas, sophomores at Middle Township High School, will play the trumpet and sax, respectively, and Noah Schneider of Upper Township, a freshman at Ocean City High School, will play the piano.

Mozitis has performed in New York, at The Walnut Theater in Philadelphia and in regional theater productions, and has sung the national anthem at the Palestra and Madison Square Garden.

The Jersey Shore Pops Fantasia Christmas Concert will feature classic Christmas music and Disney tunes.
