Annual Boo Bash 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 at Ventnor Plaza Shopping Center, 5100 Wellington Ave. in the former Peebles store. The event includes music, entertainment, carnival games, face painting, interactive games, pumpkin decorating, petting zoo, balloon art and free popcorn. Goodie bags will be distributed to children. Halloween house decorating contest hosted by the Absecon Community Affairs Committee. Judging will take place Friday, Oct. 27-Monday, Oct. 30. Monster Mash 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27 at the Margate Municipal Building, 9001 Winchester Ave. Margate Education Foundation and Margate Recreation Department will host a Monster Mash 1-Mile Spooky Family Fun Run/Walk. The run/walk starts at the old Union Avenue School parking lot and travels to the Eugene A. Tighe Middle School. Registration is at 3:30 p.m. Fee is $10 per person or $50 per family. Residents of Stone Harbor and Avalon should register their homes for the annual trick or treat route by Friday, Oct. 27 to receive a wooden pumpkin to be displayed on the front lawn or porch, officials said. Trick or treat is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31. Halloween Spooktacular 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30 for children ages 3-11 hosted by the EHT Parks and Recreation. This event includes Halloween goodies, activity and craft stations, pumpkin decorating, and a costume parade with prizes. Cost is $5 per child.
