Gateway Playhouse Home for the Holidays

The Gateway Playhouse presents the Shaken not Stirred Players in Home for the Holidays.

SOMERS POINT — Music and holiday merriment will be center stage at the Gateway Playhouse when the Shaken Not Stirred Players present "Home for the Holidays" next month.

The show will run Friday, Dec. 8, through Sunday, Dec. 10, and Friday, Dec. 15, through Sunday, Dec. 17. Tickets are $20 and $25.

The audience is invited to a 1950s-era holiday party in a warm and friendly on-stage living room. Party guests join in the festivities, and patrons are treated to nostalgic holiday songs.

Gateway Playhouse Executive Director Keith Cooper hopes people will make an evening of it. The Anchorage, Doc’s Place, Gregory’s and Tavern on the Bay will offer a 15 percent discount on meals with your "Home for the Holidays" ticket stub.

The cast includes Scott Breiner, Jacklyn Buckingham, Jaxson Carmichael, Andi Cocozza, Keith Cooper, James Dalfonso, W. Bruce Grant, Chelsey Jean, Deborah Jenkins, Mark Malachesky, Kate Michel, Gary Poetsch, Jordan Severino, Karen Sutherland, Brynne Wiser and Andrea Zakheim Poetsch. A special guest in a red suit is also expected to make an appearance.

Tickets for "Home for the Holidays" can be purchased at gatewaybythebay.org, in person at the playhouse, 738 Bay Ave., or by phone at 609-653-0553. Gateway box office hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.
