EGG HARBOR CITY – The Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District Board of Education held its reorganization meeting Thursday, Jan. 5 at Cedar Creek High School in Egg Harbor City.

Board President Carol Houck, 62, a Galloway representative and a board member since 1998, was sworn in for another three-year term.

Anne Erickson, the new Hamilton Township representative was also sworn in, as was new Galloway representative 50-year-old Michael T. Baldwin Sr. School Business Administrator Tom Grossi administered the oath of office.

Houck was appointed board president.

In 2014 she took over as board president replacing then board president John Houck, her brother-in-law who retired. Margaret Guenther was voted in as vice president in 2006 until 2014 and then again Thursday, Jan. 5.

Houck congratulated the new board members and said the board is happy to have them. She said when she first took her oath to serve the district she had many questions. She told them to never hesitate to ask questions.

She and members of the nine-member board congratulated all of the winners and said the newcomers will be good additions to the board.
