School Violence and Awareness Week

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP — Absegami High School held two weeks of activities to recognize the importance of continually fostering a positive school climate.

The school held a Week of Respect from Oct. 2-6 and a School Violence and Awareness Week from Oct. 16-20.

Students in English classes discussed what makes them unique and different and also issued daily positive quotes via GamiTV.

On Wednesday, Oct. 4, the school celebrated Wear Purple Day to take a stand against domestic violence, harassment and bullying.

Blue Thursday was Stand Up, Speak Out day and encouraged positive behavior. On Friday, students wore school colors to promote school spirit and self-respect.
