*Camp Blue Star open house

Camp Blue Star, Hamilton Township School District's summer day camp program, hosts an open house and registration 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26 at the Hess School. Camp Blue Star was established with the goal of the providing a stimulating, creative, and educational program for children in a safe but entertaining setting. The eight-week day camp program starts June 24 at the Hess Educational Complex. Ladies Auxiliary yard sale

The Cologne Fire Ladies Auxiliary will hold a yard sale 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, April 29 at the Cologne Fire Hall, 2870 Cologne Ave. The sale will be both inside and outside, and the kitchen will be open. Outside spaces are available for $10; call Elaine at 609-965-0419 to reserve a space.

*Food Bank 5K

Girl Scouts from Mays Landing Troop 11022 will hold a 5K to combat hunger Saturday, May 6 at Estell Manor Park. Check in at 9 a.m.; the race begins at 10 a.m. Event is rain or shine. All runners and walkers must bring nonperishable food to participate. Donations will be given to the Saint Vincent DePaul church food pantry in Mays Landing. Project Child Find

Parents who are concerned that their preschool age child may have special needs can receive assistance from the Hamilton Township Schools child study team. The Child Find campaign helps locate and provide services for children ages 3 to 5 who may have physical, cognitive, language or emotional difficulties. Information also may be obtained on how and where to receive services for children younger than 3. Professional guidance, assessment and an educational programs are all free for eligible children. Rotary Club of Mays Landing

Hess pool open

The Hess pool is open for community swimming including family swim and lap nights. Family swimming is offered 7-9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. The cost is $3. The Hess pool is also available for lap swimming 7-9 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, also for $3 per person.
